A firm danking

A big thankyou to the 70 or so of you that came and watched the debut screening of The McClintock Factor. It’s no multiplex numbers, but we were chuffed to bits to get that level of interest (thanks to the blogger pluggers!), and we welcomed the reception. Most people seemed to really enjoy what we have produced so far, but were also keen to offer their advice and suggestions, which in the spirit of continuous improvement we gratefully accept. So there’ll perhaps be another edit before we hope to get it on at a few more places and begin the business of whoring it round the industry.

Props to Corsica and Shortwave for their assistance. And also muito respeito to those – including Infinite, Sit Down Man, Conjunctural, Bruce and others – that stayed around for the music past pub closing time. In past raving circles we used to talk about the apocryphal ‘deep house 50’ that would come to pretty much any do of that scene in town, but we were nowhere even that. By as early as 11 we proved that you can have a party with about 15 people – half dancing, half in the bar. So here was my seven from heaven (tunes that got some of the best reaction):
